Gegenüber dem Rathaus, in Hausnummer 11, ist sie eine der ältesten kontinuierlich betriebenen Apotheken Europas, die seit dem frühen 15. Jahrhundert immer im selben Haus tätig war. Es ist auch das älteste Handelsunternehmen und die älteste medizinische Einrichtung in Tallinn.

Das erste bekannte Bild der Rathausapotheke ist ein Ölgemälde von Oldekop, das den Rathausplatz von Tallinn im Jahr 1800 zeigt. Die ersten Fotos des Gebäudes stammen aus dem Jahr 1889.
